Orinoco Research hosts first Caracas Investment Week, bringing 20 investors from the US, Europe, and Latin America
Orinoco Research recently hosted its first trip to Venezuela, bringing 20 investors to Caracas to meet with government authorities, local experts, and business leaders.
The Caracas Investment Week, from April 27th to April 30th, 2026, brought together hedge funds, family offices, and oil and mining firms, from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, France, Canada, and Brazil.
Investors were able to meet with the Economic Vice President, Calixto Ortega, along with the Minister of Finance, Anabel Pereira, the President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Luis Pérez, and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Christiam Hernández. The group also held a joint call with Acting President Delcy Rodríguez.
The agenda also included multiple sessions with political and economic experts and business leaders from various industries, such as oil and gas, real estate, agroindustry, and banking. There was also a meeting with National Assembly representatives from opposition parties.
Activities ranged from panel and Q&A sessions at the Eurobuilding Hotel to external visits to the headquarters of different organisations.
The event also offered multiple opportunities to network and discover more of Venezuela, including organised dinners and a two-day visit to Los Roques Archipelago.
